How Todd in the Hole Festival Got 12,000 Bespoke Cups in Six Weeks
When every other supplier said no, Bespoke 77 said yes — delivering over 12,000 fully bespoke reusable cups in six weeks, at a better quality and lower cost than before.
The Client
Todd in the Hole is one of Hertfordshire’s most beloved independent music festivals, held each summer at Todd’s Green — a gorgeous rural setting between Hitchin and Stevenage. Produced by Sausage & Gobbler Productions, the festival is far more than a music event: it’s a family-friendly, food-and-drink extravaganza, with a boutique campsite and glamping, a kids’ arena, a Dance Den in the Woods, cabaret and cocktails, and a line-up that draws acts across the weekend from Friday to Sunday.
Born out of a love for the Hertfordshire countryside, good food and live music, Todd in the Hole has built a loyal following that keeps coming back year after year — with reviews comparing it favourably to Glastonbury for its atmosphere, organisation and community spirit. With the 2026 edition taking place 3rd–5th July and 2027 already on sale, the festival continues to grow in both scale and ambition.
What Was Holding Them Back
Like many festivals, Todd in the Hole had moved to reusable cups as part of its commitment to a more sustainable event. Cups are a central part of the festival experience — every attendee uses them across the whole weekend, and they double as a keepsake and a piece of branded merchandise that leaves the site with guests.
The issue was that the cups sourced from their previous supplier simply weren’t up to standard. The print and design would fade and deteriorate over the course of the festival, leaving guests with a product that no longer reflected the vibrant, characterful identity of the event. And for 2025, the situation was made more urgent by a critical timeline: with just six weeks until the festival gates opened, they needed a new supplier who could actually deliver.
The core challenge: Todd in the Hole needed over 12,000 high-quality, fully bespoke reusable cups — with vibrant, durable artwork — designed, sampled, produced and delivered in six weeks. Most suppliers wouldn’t touch it.
Sourcing from the Far East was off the table: shipping timescales and the risk of delays made it unworkable at this lead time. They needed a supplier with a trusted European manufacturing partner, the operational agility to act fast, and the quality to match the festival’s own standards. That’s where Bespoke 77 came in.
How We Tackled It
At Bespoke 77, we work closely with a trusted manufacturing partner in Europe — which means tighter lead times, reliable quality control, and no exposure to the port delays and shipping volatility that come with Far East supply chains. When Todd in the Hole came to us with a six-week window, we treated it as a challenge rather than a problem.
Artwork & Sample Production
The festival already had their artwork ready — the vivid, illustrated design featuring the iconic Todd Pigs characters and bold floral patterns that define the festival’s identity. This immediately accelerated the process. (Where clients don’t have artwork, we have full in-house capabilities to help create it.) With artwork confirmed, a physical sample was produced and delivered within the first two weeks.
Sample Approval
The sample was approved immediately — no revisions, no back and forth. The print quality was sharp, the colours vivid, and the build robust. With sign-off in hand, we moved straight to production without delay.
Production at Scale
Our European factory already had a production slot reserved for us, which meant there was no queue to join. We produced over 12,000 reusable cups across both pint and half-pint formats, all bearing the full-wrap festival artwork — including the Bespoke 77 sponsorship panel and a QR code linking to the festival line-up. Every cup was produced to consistent quality across the full run.
Delivery with a Week to Spare
The entire order — from first contact to delivery — was completed with a week to spare before the 2025 festival. No panic, no compromise on quality, and no last-minute scramble. The cups arrived on time and exactly as specified.
The Outcomes
